Board-Certified Primary Care Physician | Copley Square, Boston Optum United States, Massachusetts, Plymouth Aug 05, 2026 Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our established primary care practice in Boston's vibrant Copley Square neighborhood. Atrius Health is an innovative, physician-led, multispecialty medical group providing coordinated, patient-centered care across eastern Massachusetts. Our providers practice in a collaborative environment supported by integrated specialty services, behavioral health, pharmacy, care management, and advanced technology, allowing physicians to focus on delivering exceptional care and building meaningful patient relationships. Position Highlights Full-time outpatient primary care practice
Established patient panel with strong community presence
Physician-led, patient-centered care environment
Team-based approach supported by nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, care managers, behavioral health specialists, and specialists
Focus on quality outcomes rather than visit volume
Longer appointment times and fewer patients per day
Advanced EMR and population health tools
Dedicated support staff and integrated onsite services

Prime Boston location in the Copley area with access to public transportation, restaurants, cultural attractions, and major academic institutions
Primary Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to adult patients
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Conduct preventive care visits and wellness screenings
Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated care
Promote patient engagement, education, and shared decision-making
Utilize population health and quality metrics to improve patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Required Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
Active DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) or ability to obtain prior to start
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 3 to 5 years of outpatient primary care experience
Strong commitment to patient-centered, value-based care
