A Physician (Other) diagnoses and treats illness and injuries in patients. May specialize in working with a particular group of people (such as children), or a particular area of health care and treatment (such as cardiology, oncology, surgery, radiology or anesthesiology). Works from a private practice or within a hospital or larger healthcare facility.
The Opportunity The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic and menopause care while supporting patients through every stage of their reproductive and hormonal health. The ideal candidate has strong experience in menopause management and is comfortable providing evidence-based, individualized care that considers the complete clinical picture—including hormonal, metabolic, emotional, sexual, and lifestyle factors. The physician should also be comfortable with Visionary Women's Health's comprehensive approach to PMOS management, addressing the metabolic, hormonal, reproductive, and long-term health needs of patients rather than focusing solely on menstrual symptoms or fertility.
Clinical Responsibilities The physician will:
Provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic care Evaluate and manage perimenopause, menopause, and related hormonal concerns Provide evidence-based menopausal hormone therapy when clinically appropriate Diagnose and manage PMOS and other complex hormonal and gynecologic conditions Perform routine gynecologic examinations and preventive care Counsel patients clearly and compassionately regarding treatment options Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff Contribute to a positive, respectful, and patient-centered clinical culture In-Office Procedures The physician should be trained and comfortable performing: In-office hysteroscopy and biopsy Colposcopy Endometrial and vulvar biopsies IUD insertion and removal Nexplanon insertion and removal Additional routine outpatient gynecologic procedures within the physician's scope of practice
Qualifications Required:
MD or DO degree Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active FACOG designation Eligibility for or possession of an unrestricted Maryland medical license Strong experience in outpatient gynecology Demonstrated knowledge and experience in perimenopause and menopause management Competence in the listed in-office procedures Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care
Preferred:
Advanced menopause training or recognized menopause certification Experience managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions Interest in clinical innovation, practice development, or physician leadership Interest in assuming a larger clinical or leadership role with Visionary Women's Health in the future Schedule Two consistent clinical days per week (Thursday and Friday) Approximately 0.4 full-time equivalent Compensation Compensation is per day and competitive The anticipated compensation for a two-day-per-week, 0.4 FTE Final compensation may reflect the physician's experience, credentials, responsibilities, procedural capabilities, and employment arrangement.
