Job Description
Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join a collaborative and highly respected community behavioral health team. This is a long-term onsite opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities. The physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in an outpatient community setting, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum Contribute psychiatric expertise to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnostic and treatment planning as part of an interdisciplinary evaluation team Develop, prescribe, and monitor medication management plans, including for co-occurring psychiatric conditions in individuals with ASD Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and case managers on integrated treatment planning Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health consultation as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews Qualifications Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent) Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland Required clinical background diagnosing and treating individuals on the autism spectrum, including management of co-occurring psychiatric conditions Current DEA registration
