The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nephrology and demonstrate expertise in patient care, clinical research, and the management of kidney-related disorders. This role requires proficiency in EHR systems and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients with various medical conditions. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases and related conditions. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Perform procedures such as catheterization and manage dialysis treatments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize EHR systems, including Epic, for accurate documentation and patient management. Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance nephrology practices. Provide education and support to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Nephrology. Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient nephrology settings. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including CT scans relevant to nephrology. Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD), and documentation practices. Experience with critical care, including ICU experience, is preferred. Knowledge of related specialties such as endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and urology is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to perform basic life support and manage acute pain effectively.
