Job Description
Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland , the largest teaching hospital in Maine, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to serve as a GI Hospitalist for the inpatient GI consult service. The job would consist of 26 weeks (Monday-Friday) of inpatient GI consultative service and 4 weekends of call coverage a year. The position will include performing general endoscopy and staffing consults with GI advanced practice providers and GI fellows. MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, is a tertiary care teaching hospital with 929 acute care beds and level 1 trauma center located in Portland Maine. There are opportunities to provide clinical instruction to GI fellows, internal medicine residents students from the University of New England and Tufts University medical schools.
