Physician Assistant - Primary Care HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a Physician Assistant for an established Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern Maine. This outpatient primary care position offers the opportunity to practice with a broad clinical scope while working alongside physicians, Medical Directors, and other healthcare professionals. The PA will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and help improve healthcare access for patients throughout a close-knit rural community. Full-time, part-time, and contract arrangements may be considered. Position Highlights Outpatient primary care Established Federally Qualified Health Center Care for patients across the lifespan Annual compensation of $105,000-$185,000 Full-time, part-time, and contract options Collaborative physicians and Medical Directors Integrated community-health environment Broad clinical scope and professional autonomy Competitive benefits package Supportive, team-based care model Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan Conduct physical examinations, wellness visits, and preventive screenings Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses and injuries Diagnose and manage chronic medical conditions Develop evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies Prescribe medications within applicable licensure and authority Educate patients and families regarding prevention, treatment, and long-term health management Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and community resources Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Participate in quality-improvement and population-health initiatives Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current NCCPA certification Active Maine Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one Prescriptive authority or eligibility to obtain it Ability to provide primary care across the lifespan Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Commitment to accessible and patient-centered care Ability to work effectively within a collaborative rural-health environment Compensation and Benefits Annual compensation range: $105,000-$185,000 Starting compensation based on experience, education, certifications, employment structure, internal equity, and market conditions Competitive benefits package Benefits may vary according to employment status Additional employment details provided during the interview process Living and Working in Northern Maine Northern Maine offers affordable communities, four-season outdoor recreation, less congestion, and the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with patients and families.
