Henry Ford Health System is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology/Stroke team . This role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination of patients with acute and chronic neurologic conditions, serving as a first-line provider to patients and their families in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The NP/PA will provide inpatient and outpatient medical care while working closely with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure high-quality, efficient, and evidence-based patient care. Responsibilities include patient evaluation and management, development of treatment plans, coordination of care, patient education, and performing specialty-specific procedures as indicated by training, experience, and credentialing. This position offers a 24-hour per week schedule with weekday and weekend coverage, no call requirements, and the opportunity to work within a supportive Neurology/Stroke program dedicated to improving patient outcomes across the continuum of neurological care. 1-2 years of neurology/stroke experience as an APP required NP or PA graduate from an accredited program Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)Credentials:
Education & Training- Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) Licensure
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required). Certification
