Job Description

  • Job Overview:
  • Coverage Schedule:
  • Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, onsite at the hospital.
  • Reason for
Coverage:
  • FMLA leave.
  • Patient Load:
  • Approximately 22 inpatients per day, depending on census.
  • Work Environment:
  • 100% inpatient care.
  • Current EHR System:
  • Cerner PowerChart.
  • Shift Details:
  • Timing:
  • 7 PM to 7 AM
  • ASAC (as assigned).
  • Weekend Commitment:
  • Yes.
  • Qualifications Required:
  • Board Certification:
  • Mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS):
  • Required (AHA certified).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS):
  • Required (AHA certified).
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA):
  • Verbal confirmation required during name clearance.
  • Background Check:
  • Clean history required for expedited privileging; candidates with multiple malpractice claims or significant payouts will be redirected.
  • Licensing:
  • Active Michigan medical license is required.
  • Availability:
  • Must provide availability upon name clearance.
  • Employee Health Requirements:
  • a. Flu vaccination for the 2024-2025 season. b. COVID vaccination documentation; if the 2024-2025 booster has not been administered, a declination must be submitted. c. Tuberculosis (TB):
  • 2-step skin test within the last 12 months or Quantiferon test within the last 6 months.
Completion of a TB questionnaire. d.
Hepatitis B:
Titer results with quantifiable numbers or a declination form. e. Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR): Evidence of vaccination series or titers with quantifiable results. f.
Varicella:
Proof of vaccine series or titers with quantifiable results. g.
Tdap:
Adult vaccination received within the past 10 years.
  • Certification Requirements:
  • Current certifications in ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) are mandatory. Must be board certified.
  • Licensure:
  • Active medical license in Michigan is a prerequisite.
