The facility supports both inpatient and clinic-based gynecological oncology services within a structured clinical environment. Established protocols and appropriate resources are in place to support coordinated care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. About the Facility Location Michigan offers a range of regional attractions and year-round activities suited to varied interests. The state features more than 129 lighthouses along its shoreline, natural landmarks such as Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Kitch-iti-kipi freshwater spring, and the car-free Mackinac Island with its historic sites and scenic carriage tours. Clinicians on assignment may also explore family-oriented destinations, outdoor pursuits across the Upper Peninsula's waterfalls and lakes, and distinctive local shops and dining in communities such as Petoskey and Traverse City. About the Clinician's Workday The gynecological oncologist will provide inpatient and clinic-based coverage during day shifts, managing approximately 20 patients in clinic and performing 3-4 OR cases per day on surgical days. Responsibilities include gynecological oncology surgical cases, inpatient consults, and clinic visits, with call coverage required at a 1:4 ratio. Chemotherapy oversight has been transitioned to the medical oncology team and is not a primary responsibility of this role. Board certification in Gynecological Oncology is required for this assignment.
