Locums About the Facility This 202-bed regional referral center serves residents across 22 counties in northern Lower Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula. The facility is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, with a medical staff representing nearly all medical and surgical specialties, and a particular emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences. A network of primary care and specialty care clinics throughout the region, along with an outpatient surgery center, supports comprehensive care delivery across the service area. About the Facility Location Michigan offers a range of regional attractions and year-round activities suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking, fishing, and snowmobiling. Cultural venues, art centers, live music spaces, scenic drives, historic sites, and local festivals are accessible across communities throughout the state. About the Clinician's Workday The neurologist will provide on-site inpatient and clinic neurology coverage during day shifts, with 24-hour weekend call from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Clinical responsibilities include radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture (spinal tap), EEG, brain death examination, and evoked potentials. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment. Board certification in Neurology is required for this position.
