Detroit Lakes is a serene lakeside city located just 1 hour from Fargo and 3 hours from the Twin Cities. This beautiful community offers a perfect balance of small-town charm with a population of 8,500 while providing easy access to larger metropolitan areas.
Facility:
This facility is a respected healthcare provider in the Lakes Area, featuring a comprehensive cancer center with integrated services. The organization operates with a dyad-led structure featuring strong physician and administrative leadership. The facility is accredited as an Integrated Network Cancer Center program by the Comprehensive Community Cancer Program and holds National Accreditation from the American College of Surgeons.
Opportunity:
Hematologist/Medical Oncologist:
Join a growing team of 4 physicians and 3 advanced practice clinicians in delivering exceptional hematology and oncology care to patients in the Detroit Lakes area.
Job Details:
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a warm and welcoming environment Access comprehensive support services including genetic counselors, nutritionists, social workers, and lymphedema specialists Collaborate with on-site specialty services including Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and Palliative Care Participate in weekly Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences Utilize innovative telemedicine services to extend care reach Engage in cutting-edge clinical trials through the NCI Community Oncology Research Program Consultative call only - hospitalists handle admissions and night coverage Manage approximately 12-14 follow-up visits and 1-2 new patients daily Provide care 1-2 days per week at regional clinics in Park Rapids and Fosston, MN Call schedule is approximately 10 days per month Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in both
Hematology and Medical Oncology Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
