3002584591-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks an OB/GYN to provide high-quality, patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care. Responsibilities include routine and high-risk prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecologic exams, minimally invasive procedures, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Leverage data, technology, and evidence-based guidelines to improve outcomes, support preventive care, and manage complex cases. Participate in quality initiatives, documentation, and compliance in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly regulated healthcare setting. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management for routine and high-risk pregnancies. Deliver babies and manage labor and delivery, including emergent obstetric interventions. Perform gynecologic exams, preventive screenings, and routine women's health visits across the lifespan. Conduct minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and surgeries as credentialed. Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging, including obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, to guide care plans. Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR) to meet clinical, quality, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, midwives, anesthesiologists, and specialists, to coordinate patient care. Provide clear patient counseling and education on treatment options, risks, and preventive health practices. Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and adherence to clinical guidelines and compliance requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advances in OB/GYN care and technology.
