Job Description
Are you an experienced emergency clinician looking for flexible locum work in Benton, Missouri? We're seeking a physician to provide Emergency Department coverage. This role suits board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians or board-certified Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physicians with at least three years of ED experience. Shifts include days, nights, and weekends, so flexibility is essential. What you'll see and do Manage a busy ED averaging about 81 patients per day, with roughly 12% admission rate. Treat a higher volume of lower-acuity (Level 4-5) patients while also caring for critically ill patients who require advanced interventions. Perform standard emergency procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and other ICU-level stabilizations. Coordinate care for patients who may need ICU admission. Scheduling Flexible PRN scheduling with scattered 10- and 12-hour shifts. No on-call responsibilities. Support and resources On-site ICU for higher-acuity patients. Access to neurology and psychiatric consults as needed.
