Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide high-quality care at skilled nursing facilities in Columbia, Missouri. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and a chance to make a real difference for post-acute and long-term care patients. You'll work alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, offering clinical leadership, oversight, and hands-on patient care across assigned facilities.
What the role looks like:
Part-time coverage of local skilled nursing facilities — typically 1-2 days per week at each site No fixed start or end times, no overnight shifts, and no call responsibilities Average daily volume of 18-25 visits Strong emphasis on work-life balance and schedule flexibility Company-provided iPad with LTE for efficient documentation New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply Compensation & benefits: Competitive compensation with earning potential above industry norms Up to $50,000 long-term retention incentive Performance-based bonus program Paid time off 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible physicians Employer-paid life insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage for eligible physicians CME allowance and licensure reimbursement Company-provided iPad with LTE and a professional lab coat Who we're looking for: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine Strong communication and leadership skills with sound clinical decision-making A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care If you want a part-time leadership role that balances clinical practice with flexibility and impact, this position offers a supportive team and meaningful work in the post-acute care setting.
