Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Board-Certified General Radiologist for an on-site locum tenens assignment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a general reading workload, basic Mammography, and light Interventional Radiology procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform general radiology readings, including basic Mammography and light Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures. Comfortably manage procedural volumes related to image-guided biopsies and drainages (US & CT-guided). Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as Lumbar Punctures, Myelograms, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Arthrograms, Joint Aspirations, and Injections. Qualifications Board Certification in Radiology required. Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography) Training required. Proficiency with Synapse PACS and PowerScribe dictation tools. Ability to handle light IR procedural volumes comfortably. Skills Technical proficiency in Meditech Expanse (EMR), Synapse (PACS), and PowerScribe (Dictation). Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
