Job Description
Category Imaging - Interventional Radiology Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting advanced patient care as an Interventional Radiology RN at a leading healthcare facility on a contract basis. This position combines technical imaging expertise and strong nursing skills to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Interventional Radiology or imaging Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Proficient with imaging technology and safety protocols Exceptional assessment, critical-thinking, and communication abilities Working knowledge of sterile technique and equipment handling in radiology suites Collaborative attitude and ability to adapt in fast-paced clinical settingsSchedule:
Full-time hours Days, evenings, or rotating shifts based on departmental needsResponsibilities:
Directly assist with interventional radiology procedures such as angiography, biopsies, drain placements, and other minimally invasive interventions Monitor and support patients before, during, and after procedures Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes Administer medications, IV contrast agents, and coordinate sedation as required Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with privacy regulations Provide patient education and emotional support for individuals and families Participate in ongoing equipment maintenance and quality assurance activitiesBenefits:
