Back CMA- Cardiology Medical Clinical Cary , NC Contract Sep 21, 2026 CMA Cardiology Group in Cary Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 Key Responsibilities Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history in the EMR Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy as needed Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and care coordination Manage patient communication, including phone calls, MyChart messages, and follow-ups Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and diagnostic testing Process prior authorizations and assist with insurance verification Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and cardiac monitoring devices Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic (or applicable EMR) Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology or a specialty setting Experience with EKGs required; cardiac monitoring experience preferred Strong knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage high patient volumes and multitask effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience in cardiology, vascular, or internal medicine Familiarity with telemetry monitoring or cardiac devices Prior experience in a hospital-affiliated or high-volume outpatient practice
