Category Imaging - Interventional Radiology Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by providing specialized care in interventional radiology settings. This contract position is ideal for registered nurses with strong skills in both imaging and interventional radiology, dedicated to supporting patients throughout a range of procedures.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Proven experience in interventional radiology (IR) or similar imaging-based specialties Strong venipuncture and IV placement skills Comprehensive understanding of radiology procedures, equipment, and safety measures Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking abilities Previous experience collaborating with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient assessments and monitoring Administer moderate sedation and support patient comfort throughout imaging procedures Assist interventional radiologists with angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and other image-guided interventions Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures, medications, and patient responses Ensure safe operation and troubleshooting of imaging equipment related to IR Educate patients and their families regarding treatments, expectations, and post-procedure care Uphold strict adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and facility protocols This contract offers the opportunity to expand your experience within a dynamic interventional radiology environment, working with an expert team of healthcare professionals.
