Job Description

We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a 140-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Feb 16, 2026. This outpatient-focused opportunity features Monday to Friday day shifts, with half days on Fridays and a shared call rotation that is primarily phone-based.

Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-12pm Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology/oncology care Manage a panel of patients, addressing clinical needs and coordinating care Respond to nurse calls regarding patient care and management Participate in a 1-in-4 call rotation, primarily answering questions by phone or virtually Perform infrequent in-person hospital consults as needed (one or two per year) Complete clinical documentation using Epic EMR Additional Information Must have recent experience in hematology and oncology Board certification in Medical Oncology required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Outpatient setting; 99.9 percent of cases are outpatient Experience with Epic EMR preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
