About the Facility Location Asheville, North Carolina offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational activities. The area features Class II-IV rapids on a manmade whitewater river, flatwater paddling on the Catawba River, and a dedicated whitewater area for children. Over 40 miles of single-track trails support mountain biking, trail running, and hiking, while ziplines reaching up to 1,500 feet, ropes courses across multiple skill levels, bouldering, and top-rope and free-solo climbing are also available. Additional amenities include 70 acres of off-leash dog access with 2.5 miles of trail and three ponds, yoga across multiple venues, and a 24,000-square-foot outdoor ice rink that opens seasonally in November. About the Clinicians Workday The pediatric hospitalist will provide newborn hospitalist care during 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at an on-site inpatient facility in Asheville, North Carolina. The clinician will manage a census of 10-18 patients per shift, conducting rounds and consultations on an RN-staffed unit. Phone call responsibilities are included as part of the clinical duties. Attendance at deliveries and newborn resuscitations is not required, as in-house neonatologists and Level 3 NICU support are maintained by the facility. No call coverage is required beyond the assigned day shift hours. Board certification in Pediatrics, an active North Carolina medical license, and North Carolina DEA registration are required for this assignment.
