Internal Medicine - Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Outpatient Primary Care | Coastal North Carolina (Full-Time 3-5 Days/week) Wilmington Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team in beautiful coastal North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced practice provider who enjoys practicing comprehensive outpatient medicine, building meaningful patient relationships, and managing both routine and complex medical conditions within a collaborative, physician-led practice. Our Internal Medicine providers care for a diverse adult patient population and work alongside experienced physicians and specialists within a large, integrated multispecialty group of more than 300 providers. Position Highlights Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients across the spectrum of Internal Medicine Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, including complex multi-system disease Care for patients with conditions such as: Diabetes and metabolic disorders Hypertension and cardiovascular disease COPD and asthma Chronic kidney disease Thyroid and endocrine disorders Gastrointestinal conditions Neurologic complaints and headaches Musculoskeletal pain and joint disorders Anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health concerns Manage patients with multiple comorbidities, coordinating care across specialties when needed Perform office-based procedures such as joint injections, minor dermatologic procedures, and point-of-care diagnostics Access to on-site imaging, laboratory services, and extensive specialty support Collaborate closely with physicians and subspecialists including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, neurology, and orthopedics Practice within a physician-owned, physician-led organization that values teamwork, quality care, and clinical autonomy Flexible schedule options with strong clinical and operational support (3-4 days/week) Qualifications Current NP or PA license with eligibility to practice in North Carolina Experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related outpatient primary care setting preferred Comfort managing both routine primary care and medically complex patients Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and communication skills Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits Collaborative environment with experienced physicians and specialists Robust clinical infrastructure including on-site diagnostics and care coordination A large, established patient base within a respected physician-led group The opportunity to practice meaningful outpatient medicine while enjoying an exceptional coastal lifestyle in Wilmington, North Carolina Coastal North Carolina-Wilmington Wilmington is a vibrant community located in Coastal NC bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River.
