JOB SUMMARY

Fallbrook Family Health Center is actively recruiting for a physician's assistant who shall provide primary health care and specialized health services patients within our clinic. S/he shall be able to diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement interventions and evaluate patient responses under the direction of physician.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Physician Assistant program; Two years clinical experience in a related health care setting preferred; and Two years of experience in family practice. Certificates, Licensure, Registrations Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Nebraska; Basic Life Support (BLS); and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Assesses plans, prescribes, implements, and evaluates healthcare of individuals using established protocols under the direction of a physician according to the scope of practice. Prescribes and modifies the plan of care in collaboration with direction of a physician to achieve desired outcomes, according to the PA scope of practice. Evaluates the processes and outcomes of patient care through following evidence-based practices, to enhance the delivery of above reproach healthcare in the most cost-effective manner to the patient. Ensures s/he takes accountability for professional development within PA role by identifying educational opportunities to advance knowledge and skills in order to ensure safe and up-to-date patient practice. Is familiar and comfortable using a wide range of medical technology and equipment. Adheres to state and federal guidelines, as it pertains to maintaining accurate patient health information and ensuring it is documented within a timely basis. Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, employees, and other healthcare professionals, as well as to be confident to market services within the surrounding communities. Shall always maintain a professional attitude when working with patients, family members, employees, other healthcare providers, and the public.
