Radiology Supervisor Medical Imaging Full time Days 80 Are you ready to join a staff of like-minded professionals that strive to provide compassionate, affordable, high-quality care in our community? At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Radiology Supervisor to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Radiology Supervisor is: Supervises department personnel, providing short- and long-term objectives by which employee performance is monitored. Acts as a preceptor to new staff, providing instruction in job responsibilities, overseeing job performance, and offering constructive feedback during their orientation period. Provides ongoing support in career development related to business operations as staff move beyond their orientation period. Assists in the development of team and individual goals and delivers performance feedback. Makes recommendations regarding the hiring, firing, salary rates, and titles of employees and potential employees to management. Collaborates with the technical staff in organizing and directing the section's workflow. Develops training, evaluates technical skills, and schedules staff. Maintains a high level of technical skills to perform and teach all of the radiology section procedures, and acts as a technical resource for staff. Instructs and oversees the lead techs of all imaging modalities ensuring leads Identify, develop, and implements new procedures as strategically supported and required. Monitors the quality and quantity of work flow to ensure work is completed. Engages in regular rounding throughout the section to judge the effectiveness of workflow, utilization of personnel and supplies, and general ethical and professional atmosphere. Identifies areas of practice that need to be strengthened or changed. Assesses, develops, and ensures adherence to unit competencies. Plans and implements continuing education programs to promote a high level of technical expertise and compliance with continuing education requirements. Identifies, modifies, develops, and drafts new policies. Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
Associate Degree with 3 years in the field, in a leadership role, is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills by interacting professionally and appropriately with physicians, staff and administration. Successful completion and graduation of an educational program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEA) as applicable. Required License/Certifications/Registration Skills Possess active, current registration credential in Radiologic Technology with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). In a minimum of
Radiology and CT:
(R) (CT) Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire. BLS required at hire.
