Schedule:

Minimum 5 shifts per month Board certification: •ABEM or ABOEM; or ABFM or ABIM with a minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience•Patient volume: Approximately 75 patients per day

300 Central Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018 Practice setting: Community Emergency Department Daily admissions: Approximately 15-20 per day Admission mix: Roughly one-third medical, one-third withdrawal management, one-third behavioral health Behavioral health support: Standardized order sets, 24/7 Behavioral Health Counselor, psychiatry consultation available Specialty backup: Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Hospitalist Medicine, ICU, Teleneurology No trauma designation, no pediatric services, no cardiac catheterization lab, no on-site Neurosurgery, no on-site OB/GYN Behavioral Health Workflow Emergency physician completes the medical evaluation and clearance Psychiatry consultation is obtained A dedicated 24/7 Behavioral Health Counselor evaluates the patient The Behavioral Health Counselor communicates directly with the psychiatrist to discuss treatment and disposition Established processes help facilitate efficient evaluation and disposition of behavioral health patients Requirements Board certification: ABEM or ABOEM; or ABFM or ABIM with a minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
