Job Description

Job Summary AFC Urgent Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Urgent Care Physician to join our team in a dual role as Medical Director. This position combines hands-on clinical care with medical leadership responsibilities, overseeing a team of 2-4 advanced practice providers (PAs/NPs). The ideal candidate is a patient-centered physician with strong clinical acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence in the urgent care setting. Duties Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries. Serve as Medical Director for the site, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, quality standards, and compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. Supervise, mentor, and support 2-4 mid-level providers, providing guidance on clinical decision-making, patient safety, and professional development. Collaborate with practice management and administrative leadership to optimize patient flow, clinical efficiency, and quality outcomes. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, policy development, and staff education. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Foster a team-oriented, collaborative environment that promotes high-quality, compassionate care Experience MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of NJ. DEA certification.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible schedule (including some weekends and holidays).

$135.00 - $150.00 per hour
