Job Description
Role Overview The Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive outpatient adult care, including preventive medicine, chronic disease management, acute care, and care coordination. This role is fully outpatient, with no inpatient, hospitalist, or family medicine responsibilities. The physician will help establish workflows, patient panels, and care standards for a new practice opening January 2027. Key Responsibilities Primary Care & Clinical Management Provide full-scope adult outpatient Internal Medicine care Manage chronic conditions (HTN, diabetes, COPD, CHF, CKD, etc.) Deliver preventive care, screenings, and wellness visits Provide acute care for common adult conditions Coordinate care with specialists and community resources Maintain accurate documentation and EMR compliance Practice Development & Patient Panel Growth Build and manage a growing patient panel Participate in shaping clinic workflows and care pathways Contribute to quality improvement initiatives Support a culture of accessibility, compassion, and patient-centered care Quality & Performance Meet quality metrics tied to the 20% bonus structure Engage in evidence-based practice and guideline adherence Collaborate with leadership on performance improvement Qualifications MD or DO with completion of an Internal Medicine residency New grads preferred Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine Outpatient-focused career interest Strong communication and patient relationship skills No visa sponsorship available Core Competencies Adult primary care expertise Chronic disease management Preventive medicine Patient-centered communication Clinical decision-making Collaborative practice mindset Work Environment Outpatient-only Full-time, onsite Small, community-focused practice Opening January 2027 in Whiting, NJ 08759 Compensation Context $230k-$240k base salary guaranteed for 2 years 20% of base quality bonus $24k retention bonus after start Relocation reimbursement: $5k in-state / $10k out-of-state
