CCU & Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program (CVRR)

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest integrated health care systems, is seeking a CCU & Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey.

This unique opportunity combines non-invasive cardiology with advanced cardiovascular critical care, offering the chance to practice within one of the region's premier cardiovascular programs. The successful candidate will work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to patients with complex cardiovascular disease.

Responsibilities:

The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care as part of the Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program. This role includes approximately 12-14 weeks per year of Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) coverage at Atlantic Health Morristown, caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and post-cardiac intervention needs.

Additional responsibilities include teaching residents and cardiology and critical care fellows, supporting community education and outreach initiatives, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and adhering to all applicable hospital, regulatory, and professional standards.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, collaboration, professionalism, and the continued growth and innovation of Atlantic Health's cardiovascular services.

Salary Range:

$425,000-$450,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives.

Qualifications

BE/BC in Cardiology

Must have critical care training or advanced heart failure with focus on cardiac critical care

New grads are welcome to apply

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey

Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven group

Patients from Chilton Medical Center, Hackettstown Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, and Overlook Medical Center are seamlessly connected to Morristown when advanced cardiovascular care is necessary thanks to an infrastructure that includes helipads and ambulance transport and an electronic health record system that allows physicians to share health records in real time. In addition, pediatric cardiology services are available at Goryeb Children's Hospital, located on the Morristown Medical Center campus.
