Paramus, New Jersey Schedule:
2-3 days per week, approximately 12-18 hours total, plus an agreed on-call schedule Pay range: $120-$145 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Throne Biotechnologies (Throne) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company conducting clinical research involving Stem Cell Educator therapy for type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. We are seeking a patient-centered physician to provide care and serve as clinical investigator for clinical studies at Throne. This part-time role provides a consistent presence Tuesday and Thursday, with daily hours established by agreement. The physician will combine direct patient care with oversight of study conduct and participant safety. Responsibilities
  • Take care of patients during the procedure of apheresis and infusion of final products.
  • Serve as clinical investigator, overseeing study conduct, protocol adherence, and participant safety.
  • Evaluate and care for study participants, including assessment, triage, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Provide clinical oversight for patients receiving investigational Stem Cell Educator therapy in accordance with applicable study protocols.
  • Assess urgent clinical concerns and provide trial-related support during assigned on-call periods.
  • Collaborate with clinical, research, and administrative colleagues to coordinate patient care and study activities. Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
  • Pediatric diabetes and pediatric critical care experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in IV cannulation, including ultrasound-guided IV placement.
  • At least 5 years of independent clinical practice following residency required, with experience managing complex patients.
  • Prior experience serving as a clinical investigator or sub-investigator in clinical trials; at least 2 years of investigator experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Medical malpractice insurance Experience in endocrinology, particularly type 1 diabetes; immunology or autoimmune disease; neurology; pediatrics; emergency or intensive care; or hands-on apheresis is especially valuable.
Compensation and benefits The pay range is $120-$145 per hour for approximately 12-18 hours per week.
