Locums About the Facility This inpatient facility provides comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services and maintains established protocols for specimen processing and diagnostic workflow management. The facility is structured to support on-site locum tenens coverage, with clinical resources in place to facilitate accurate and timely diagnostic reporting. Coverage is sought on an ongoing basis beginning as soon as possible. About the Facility Location Toms River offers a range of attractions and leisure activities suited to varied interests. Points of interest include Cattus Island County Park, the Robert J. Novins Planetarium, Insectropolis, and the nearby Seaside Heights Beach and Boardwalk. Year-round options span antique fairs, art exhibits, music festivals, escape rooms, winemaking experiences, art classes, wellness events, and outdoor spaces such as Money Island Beach and Shelter Cove Park. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient anatomic and clinical pathology coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with night call and weekend call required. Clinical responsibilities include surgical pathology sign-out, cytopathology sign-out, frozen section analysis, Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) of cytology specimens, and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) case review and interpretation. Annual case volumes include approximately 9,800 surgical pathology cases, 1,375 cytopathology cases, 544 FNA cases, and 294 frozen sections. Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
