Position Summary The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The primary appointment will be in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine with clinical responsibilities in the Main Operating Room . Successful candidates will join a collaborative group of experienced anesthesiologists committed to excellence in patient care, education, research, and service. UNM Hospital is the only Level I Trauma Center in New Mexico. Our Critical Care facilities include 192 beds, with 96 dedicated ICU beds, a 20-bed pediatric intensive care unit, 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 18-bed trauma surgical intensive care unit, 6-bed burn center, and 24-bed neurosurgical intensive care unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality anesthesiology care, participate in the education and mentorship of learners, and contribute to departmental academic and service initiatives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold unrestricted medical license Must hold M.D. or equivalent Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in the certification process Preferred Qualifications Resident Teaching Experience Research and Scholarly Activities Must have recent and active experience taking call in level 1 or level 3 trauma centers.
