Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Locum Pediatrician for assignments in New Mexico. Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute illness management, and chronic disease follow-up in outpatient and/or inpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing exams, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with nurses and specialists. Ideal candidates are board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics, comfortable working independently, and committed to high-quality, family-centered care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pediatric evaluations and ongoing care Conduct well-child visits, vaccinations, and preventive screenings Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and imaging results Prescribe and manage pediatric medications safely Document encounters accurately in EMR systems Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and care teams Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance Participate in call coverage as needed by the facility Adhere to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards of care Required Skills Pediatric patient assessment Well-child and preventive care Acute pediatric illness management Chronic disease management in children Ordering and interpreting labs/imaging Pediatric emergency stabilization Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Pediatric medication prescribing Care coordination with specialists Patient and family education
