Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in New Mexico. Provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced ED, including evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of acute and complex conditions across all age groups. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing emergency procedures, coordinating with specialists, and documenting care accurately. Responsibilities Provide emergency medical evaluation, stabilization, and treatment for diverse patient populations Perform and assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, central lines, and rapid sequence induction Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging Coordinate care and consultations with hospitalists, surgeons, and specialty services Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the EMRParticipate in ED throughput, triage decision-making, and patient flow optimization Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines and hospital protocols Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care Respond to codes and other hospital emergencies as required Maintain licensure, board certification, and compliance with regulatory standards Required Skills Emergency medicine clinical practice Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Airway management and intubation Point-of-care ultrasound Emergency procedures (lines, splinting, wound care) Diagnostic test interpretation (labs, ECG, imaging) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary clinical collaboration
