Responsibilities:
This position manages the radiology department and its staff to meet the needs of the hospital, patients, and physicians. The radiology manager ensures compliance with all mammography accreditations and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Responsibilities include developing an operating budget that meets organizational needs and operating within budget guidelines, as well as staffing the department based on volume to ensure productivity. The role hires, counsels, and terminates employees according to PHS guidelines and participates in employee development. As needed, the manager performs diagnostic radiology, CT, bone density, and ultrasound exams. The position attends department head meetings, holds monthly staff meetings, and supports the PHS Mission of Purpose, Vision, Values, and Strategies. The radiology manager also works with the community to support a county‑wide health care system and educates the community on departmental and hospital services. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiology required Minimum of three years of experience across various radiology areas Three to five years of radiology supervision experience preferred New Mexico State License in Radiologic Technology (NMRRT) required We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
