Local Team Collaboration:
We take pride in our well-established team at the University of New Mexico, consisting of 14 physicians, 2 APPs, and supported by a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator. Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups. This is an academic hospital with a family medicine and internal medicine residency program. We do not supervise or teach residents.
Qualifications:
Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine. We provide in-house licensing and credentialing support. We are not currently accepting 2027 graduates for this role. Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
7 on/off schedule, working 7 am-7 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Closed ICU-no procedures are required. Average of 18 patients per doctor. The Hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team and responds to codes that are run by the ICU team. Our nights are covered by a dedicated nocturnist and night

Rewards and Compensation:
Day Shift Rate of $1829 and Night Shift Rate of $2,109. Daytime hospitalist yearly base pay is $333,793. Eligible for RVU and Quality bonus. Full Benefits including CME allowance.
