Locums About the Facility This correctional facility delivers outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population within a secure clinical environment in New Mexico. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and maintains a credentialing timeframe of approximately one week. Clinicians have access to telephonic consultation with the Chief Medical Officer to support clinical decision-making during their assignment. About the Facility Location New Mexico offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor, cultural, and historical attractions suited to varied interests. The state features notable destinations including the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, the Valle Vidal Unit of Carson National Forest, and Great Sand Dunes National Monument, providing opportunities for outdoor exploration across diverse landscapes. Historical and cultural points of interest are also present throughout the state, including the Billy the Kid Museum and Bosque Redondo Memorial in Fort Sumner and the Geronimo Springs Museum in Truth or Consequences, offering a range of experiences during time away from assignment. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients (ages 18 and older) at a correctional facility in New Mexico during day shift hours, working 24 hours per week on a preferred schedule of three 8-hour shifts, with two 12-hour shifts considered as an alternative. The expected caseload is approximately 10 patients per day, and no call coverage is required for this assignment. Required credentials include an active New Mexico license, DEA registration, and BLS certification; board certification is negotiable and prescriptive authority is required.
