Full-Time / Contract / New York State Agency Position Summary Penda Aiken Inc. is a staffing firm located in Brooklyn, New York. Our client is a New York State Agency and is seeking a dedicated Clinical Physician to provide care at Attica Correctional Facility. This is a fast-paced role requiring high reliability, punctuality, and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities Direct Care & Diagnosis:
Provide primary, acute, and chronic care services to individuals within certified specialty area of practice; diagnose and treat illnesses and health conditions.
Treatment & Prescriptions:
Prescribe necessary medications, order medical tests, and manage comprehensive treatment plans.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to ensure individuals receive appropriate, timely, and coordinated care.
Clinical Guidance:
Provide clinical supervision, training, and guidance to nursing and clinical support staff.
Minimum Qualifications Licensure & Certification:
Valid MD/DO license to practice medicine in New York State with board certification or eligibility in an applicable specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice).
Schedule & Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Assignment Term:
Initial estimated service dates from 10/15/2026 to 03/30/2027, with potential extensions up to two (2) years upon mutual agreement between the hiring agency and awarded vendor.
Compliance Requirements:
Must pass required New York State Department of Corrections background clearance and health/vaccination checks.
