Perform thoracic surgeries, including minimally invasive and complex procedures Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the chest and thoracic cavity Collaborate with surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients Participate in clinical research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Educate patients and families about treatment options and recovery processes Participate in medical student and General Surgery residency education Da Vinci Xi Call for thoracic patients is shared with General Surgeons on nights and weekends Multi-disciplinary tumor board and ACS CoC accredited Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Completion of a residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Thoracic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery. Board certification or eligibility in Thoracic Surgery Valid medical license in New York State. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Benefits Compensation Base Salary Range:
$550,000-650,000 This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $100,000 Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.
