Anesthesiology - Generalist Highlights of the
Position:
Anesthesiology Residency Program 18 state-of-the-art operating rooms Level I Trauma Center 40% of your time doing your cases, 60% of your time medically directing CRNAs and Residents Teaching opportunities with regular rotations of residents and medical students. Robust EHR used in all areas, including the operating room (EPIC 10-Star health system, top 1% of EPIC Organizations) The Anesthesia Department manages the OR schedule, providing the necessary structure for a smooth, efficient workday

Guthrie is a regional campus of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. The successful candidate also has the potential to participate in medical student education. A 254-bed tertiary care referral center, Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, has received numerous national awards for the high-quality care it provides to patients. The hospital is the region's only Level I Trauma Center, accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation, and is served by Guthrie Air, a regional aeromedical helicopter program.
