No County Clinton Street Address Central New York Psychiatric Center - Clinton Satellite Unit 1156 Cook Street, Route 374, PO Box 2000 City Dannemora State NY Zip Code 12929 Duties Description Central New York Psychiatric Center (CNYPC) is recruiting for a Psychiatrist 1 or Psychiatrist 2 to provide a full range of care and treatment to individuals incarcerated in the State and County Correctional System. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Psychiatrist, you will be part of a diverse interdisciplinary team focused on providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and evidence based treatment including:
- Performing psychiatric screenings, evaluations, and examinations.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures, diagnosing, and treating various psychiatric conditions.
- Administering psychiatric treatments, medications, and therapies. Conducting follow-up exams and modifying treatments as needed.
- Collaborating with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans, and approves treatment recommendations.
- Competency restoration.
- Correctional mental health services.

Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Additional Comments Psychiatrists at OMH facilities are eligible for:- Psychiatrist Loan Repayment Program offering up to $120,000
