Job Description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H/Elmhurst has an exciting opportunity for a per diem Regional Radiation Oncologist. The physician will be responsible for in- and out- patients' consultations, CT simulation, treatment prescribing and planning, chart rounds, on-going treatment visits, tumor boards and follow up clinic appointments at both Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers. The position is anticipated to last for approximately four to eight months and includes both weekly and vacation coverage at the two facilities. On-call responsibility may be included. Candidates are encouraged to have an interest in resident education as we are a clinical site of the Radiation Oncology Residency of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island. The per diem rate for this position is $150/hour. Candidates must have a MD degree and be ABR board certified or eligible with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience and communication and interpersonal skills.
