All About the Job Family Concierge is partnering with a Fairport family to hire a Nanny-Family Assistant for their two children, ages 5 and 3. Both parents are physicians with set rotations and require someone with the flexibility and availability to match. The family are experienced household employers, do everything by the book, and have built a solid system designed to attract and retain their next great match: the calendar is published thirty days ahead, hours are guaranteed every two weeks no matter how the shifts fall, and there is no on-call. The five-year-old is in school full time, and the three-year-old is in preschool two mornings per week. Between school hours and activities, confident driving is a must. Alongside childcare, family assistant duties include grocery runs, meal prep, laundry, and light tidying. You will phase in alongside their current nanny who is leaving around November 2026. What You'll Do
  • Full care for a five-year-old and a three-year-old around school and preschool hours, including the after-school stretch, dinner, bath, and bedtime on evening shifts
  • Preschool drop-off and pick-up
  • Drive children to activities and appointments as needed
  • Occasional grocery and errand runs
  • Light meal prep
  • Household laundry, start to finish
  • Keep the common spaces and the children's rooms tidy Who We're Looking For You are an experienced nanny who is genuinely comfortable with a schedule that changes month to month, and who would rather have thirty days of notice and guaranteed pay than a fixed Monday-to-Friday that pays only when the family needs you.
You drive confidently with children in the car, and you like the family-assistant side of the work rather than tolerating it. You are the kind of person a family can hand the afternoon to. You notice the low milk and the outgrown shoes without being asked, you communicate clearly, and you keep your own life organized well enough that a moving calendar does not rattle you.
  • At least 3 years as a nanny in a private home, with school-age and preschool experience
  • Access to a safe and reliable vehicle, a clean driving record and real comfort behind the wheel; driving is a daily part of this job
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid, or willingness to obtain
  • Comfort with light household support: children's laundry, meal prep, groceries, tidying
  • Clear, proactive communication with parents who are often mid-shift
  • Willingness to work about two weekends a month and five to six evenings a month, with all dates scheduled well in advance
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and a commitment to on-the-books, W-2 employment
  • A genuine desire for a long-term commitment and building a relationship with the family Standard for our placements: legal on-the-books (W-2) employment, Pediatric CPR and First Aid (or a willingness to obtain), reliable transportation and a clean driving record, and a sincere intention to build a lasting fit with the family.
Why You'll Love This Job The family recognizes their work schedule is unique, and they are committed to offering their nanny the same respect to their own life. You are not someone the family views as the help
  • you are a true and valued part of a team.
Your schedule is posted thirty days ahead and it does not change. Your hours are guaranteed every two weeks. Overnights and travel are available but are never required. This family are experienced nanny employers and are offering an unusually generous package for the Rochester market. They are building a long overlap with the current nanny so you arrive to a household that already knows how to be a good employer. How to Apply Interested applicants may create a profile on our website at famconcierge.com to be considered. All applications should include a current resume highlighting relevant childcare and private home experience, along with a brief cover letter explaining why this role feels like a strong fit. Applicants who do not submit a tailored resume and cover letter specifically addressed to Family Concierge may not be considered for our current or future roles.
