3002584667-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Optum is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for adult patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and complex hormonal disorders. In this role, you will manage outpatient and limited inpatient consults, interpret endocrine labs and imaging, and adjust advanced therapies including insulin pumps and CGM. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, leverage Optum's robust data and technology, and participate in quality improvement, population health initiatives, and ongoing clinical education in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide outpatient and consultative inpatient care for endocrine and metabolic disorders Diagnose and manage diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and bone health conditions Interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and dynamic endocrine function studies Initiate and optimize therapies including insulin pumps, CGM, and osteoporosis treatments Collaborate with primary care, specialists, nurses, and educators on care plans Use data, clinical guidelines, and analytics tools to improve quality and outcomes Participate in population health initiatives and chronic disease management programs Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure regulatory compliance Engage in continuing medical education and quality improvement activities Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle, and treatment adherence Required Skills Endocrine disorder diagnosis and management Diabetes management including insulin pumps and CGMThyroid disease evaluation and treatment Adrenal and pituitary disorder management Osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease management Interpretation of endocrine labs and imaging Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Evidence-based medicine and clinical guidelines Patient education and counseling Interdisciplinary care coordination
