Responsibilities Provide outpatient and inpatient evaluation and management of gastrointestinal and liver disorders Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy and related therapeutic interventions Interpret diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care Document care in the EHR accurately and timely, using data to improve outcomes Participate in call coverage and shared group responsibilities as assigned Engage in quality improvement, patient safety and guideline-based practice initiatives Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options and preventive care Contribute to teaching and mentoring of advanced practice clinicians or trainees, as applicable Uphold regulatory, compliance and ethical standards in a highly regulated environment Required Skills Gastroenterology clinical practice Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy) Management of inflammatory bowel disease Management of liver and pancreatic disorders Sedation and peri-procedural patient management Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Evidence-based clinical decision-making Interpretation of GI imaging and laboratory studies Quality improvement and patient safety practices Interdisciplinary clinical collaboration
