Job Description
Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Inpatient/Interventional Psychiatrist at Mather Hospital. The ideal candidate should be committed to evidence-based care, energetic, innovative and enjoy a collaborative, team-based approach. This position would entail morning coverage on Mather's inpatient Adult Psychiatric unit and four half-days providing interventional psychiatry treatment. Mather Hospital, a member of Northwell Health, is an accredited 248-bed, non-profit community teaching hospital. Mather is one of the few Long Island hospitals to offer inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for both adolescents and adults. It is the only acute care hospital in Suffolk County with an adolescent psychiatric unit and an adolescent partial hospitalization program. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical care, educating the current and future generations of health care professionals, promoting health education, and caring for the community regardless of the ability to pay. Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Services provides an acute care facility for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness for adult and geriatric individuals. The adult inpatient service is a 27-bed unit designed for patients with psychiatric and behavioral conditions including anxiety and panic disorders, depression, bipolar illness, and schizophrenia.
