Ellis Medicine is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular team in Schenectady, New York. This unique Weekend Track opportunity is designed for cardiologists who want to maintain a meaningful inpatient clinical practice while enjoying a highly predictable schedule and significant flexibility during the remainder of the week. The physician will provide dedicated inpatient cardiology coverage at Ellis Hospital on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, working 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities will include inpatient rounding and consultative cardiology services while collaborating closely with the broader cardiovascular team. Position Highlights Join an established and collaborative cardiovascular team of 20+ cardiologists and advanced practitioners Dedicated inpatient non-invasive cardiology role at Ellis Hospital Friday-Sunday schedule 12-hour shifts Inpatient rounding and consultative cardiology services Comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular care Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, cardiothoracic surgery, advanced practice providers, and other specialists Access to a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment services Predictable schedule with the majority of the week available for personal and professional pursuits Opportunity to practice in a community hospital with the resources of a comprehensive cardiovascular program Clinical Responsibilities The Non-Invasive Cardiologist will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care at Ellis Hospital, including: Provide inpatient cardiology consultation and management for patients with cardiovascular conditions Perform daily inpatient rounding and develop individualized treatment plans Evaluate and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and other cardiovascular conditions Provide cardiology consultation to patients admitted through the Emergency Department and other inpatient services Interpret and utilize ECGs, telemetry, echocardiography, stress testing, laboratory data, and other diagnostic studies to guide patient management Provide pre-procedural and peri-procedural cardiovascular evaluation and risk assessment Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, structural heart specialists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and other members of the multidisciplinary team Coordinate care with hospitalists, primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and other consulting services Communicate recommendations and treatment plans with patients, families, and referring physicians Participate in discharge planning and transitions of care Provide appropriate follow-up recommendations for patients transitioning to outpatient care Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Inpatient cardiology experience preferred Recruitment Package Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including: Year 1: $510,000
