Job Description
Emergency Medicine Physician•$320K•350K | 24 Weeks/Year A leading healthcare system on the East End of Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join its hospital-based team serving the Southampton and East Hampton areas. This position offers a unique schedule of 24 weeks per year , providing substantial time off while maintaining a full-time employed position within an established health system. The physician will provide care to emergency, observation, and inpatient populations, including evaluating and admitting patients through the Emergency Departments, completing daily rounds, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with consulting specialists. Physicians also have the opportunity to work with and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and other clinical trainees. The standard schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM-7:00 PM , with contracted weeks running Tuesday through Monday. Physicians who cover night shifts during their contracted 24 weeks can earn additional compensation, and per diem opportunities are also available for physicians interested in working beyond their contracted schedule.
