Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician specializing in Pain Medicine to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive pain management services, utilizing advanced diagnostic and interventional techniques to improve patient quality of life. Your expertise will help develop personalized treatment plans, coordinate care with a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals, and ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through innovative pain management strategies within a collaborative clinical environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations, to accurately diagnose pain conditions. Develop and implement individualized pain management plans incorporating pharmacologic therapies, interventional procedures such as nerve blocks or botulinum toxin treatments, and non-pharmacologic approaches like physical therapy or health coaching. Utilize advanced medical imaging and EMR/EHR systems to document findings, track progress, and coordinate care effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Perform interventional radiology procedures, including catheterization and minimally invasive techniques, to alleviate chronic or acute pain. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties such as anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, gastroenterology, and psychiatry to optimize comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on pain management options, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to promote long-term wellness. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols while managing patient records and discharge planning. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology. Post-residency experience in pain management with a focus on acute and chronic pain conditions. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical imaging interpretation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis techniques, physiology, pharmacology related to pain management, and interventional radiology procedures. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare teams across multiple specialties including neurology, orthopedics, oncology, cardiology, and psychiatry. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery. Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as CPT coding or advanced airway management are advantageous.
