Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Hospitalist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical services. As a Hospitalist, you will oversee patient management from admission through discharge, ensuring optimal health outcomes while fostering a compassionate and efficient hospital environment. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient experiences and supporting hospital operations in a fast-paced setting. Schedule offers 7 days on and 7 days off rotation with no overnight call. Opportunity for additional compensation offered. Responsibilities Deliver expert inpatient medical care across various hospital units, including medical-surgical wards and working with an intensivist in intensive care settings. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and review of medical histories, to develop accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals such as specialists, nurses, radiologists, and allied health staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response events Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) to document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately. Manage acute and chronic conditions by ordering diagnostic tests like medical imaging (X-rays, CT scans), interpreting results, and adjusting treatments accordingly. Participate in discharge planning, ensuring smooth transitions for patients returning home or to other care facilities while providing education on follow-up care and medication management. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while delivering compassionate patient service in an inpatient environment. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure to practice medicine in Ohio. Active DEA Post-residency experience in hospital medicine or internal medicine, demonstrating strong inpatient management skills. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for efficient documentation and clinical workflow. Extensive knowledge of healthcare diagnosis, medical imaging interpretation, and perioperative care practices. Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals and engaging patients in their care plans. Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Ability to work efficiently in inpatient settings with experience in hospital environments preferred. $285,000.00 per year
