Responsibilities Support patient care activities by assisting with daily routines, mobility, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and well-being Assist medical staff with patient intake procedures, including gathering vital signs and documenting relevant information accurately Provide empathetic patient service, ensuring clear communication and addressing patient needs promptly Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards Support clinical teams with basic tasks related to physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to facilitate efficient care delivery Help coordinate post-acute care transitions, including discharges and follow-up appointments, ensuring seamless patient experiences Monitor patients' conditions closely in inpatient or outpatient settings, alerting healthcare providers to any changes or concerns Qualifications Prior hospital or clinical experience is highly preferred, especially in acute or sub-acute care environments Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support effective communication and understanding of patient needs Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, orthopedics, or those requiring post-acute care is advantageous Demonstrated commitment to patient service and compassionate care delivery Ability to work effectively in fast-paced inpatient or outpatient settings, including clinics specializing in hospital medicine or outpatient services Knowledge of hospital procedures related to intake processes and inpatient/outpatient workflows is beneficial Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting patients and healthcare teams This role is an excellent stepping stone for individuals passionate about healthcare who want to gain hands-on experience while contributing positively to patient outcomes.
