Job Description:
Gastroenterology- Staff Physician Opportunity This position has been opened to increase clinic availability at our outpatient locations to provide safe and effective medical care to Cincinnati Children's patients.
- Patient Care Perform direct patient care of pediatric patients within the scope of the medical license, education, and experience.
- Effective Communication Provide for the exchange of appropriate patient care and clinical information when patients are admitted, referred, transferred, or discharged. Provide data which will contribute to the assessment of a patient's needs, the organization's capability to provide care or treatment and the appropriate level of care.
- Development of Clinical Excellence Actively participates in department/division and system learner training and educational programs. Maintains currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars.
- Policy Compliance Maintains good standing in the department by compliance to licensure and credentialing criteria.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
- MD/DO or equivalent pediatrician
- Unrestricted licensed physician
- Approval/credentialing from Cincinnati Children's Medical Staff Services Division .
Preferred:
Board certified or board eligible in pediatrics.Unique Skills:
- Clinical Care Skills Skill in physical assessment, diagnosis, well-childcare, and management of illness
- Clinical Knowledge
- Specialty Professional knowledge and clinical ability sufficient to provide evaluation and treatment of complex patients in one or more specialty areas
- Path/Pharm Knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacology
- Clinical Education Knowledge and skill in patient and/or family education
- Professional Knowledge/Ability Professional knowledge and ability sufficient to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the position
Communication:
